We’re officially a certified B Corp™, meeting high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability. We’re excited to be joining a global community of businesses committed to positively impact all people, communities and the planet.
We set out on our B Corp journey because we fundamentally believe in what B Corp is trying to do. B Corp’s mission is to create a community of businesses committed to doing good in the world. Who are willing to take action to achieve that aim. And who will ensure that they will always consider people and place in their business activities.
Strengthscope’s mission is to reveal the unique strengths of people across the world, enabling them to bring their most authentic and inspired selves to work and to life every day.
This means that our place in the world is to change lives for the positive. To help people step into who they truly are so that they can bring the best of themselves to what they do. This is the change that we want to see.
Certifying to be a B Corp is a comprehensive and rigorous process. B Corp certification doesn’t just evaluate a product or service, it assesses the overall social and environmental impact of the company that stands behind it.
You have to show you’re really serious about doing the right thing in a number of areas: governance, workers, environment, customers, community.
To do that authentically, we aim to embody and be that change we want to see as a business, making sure that we keep our people and our customers central to all that we do.
And so, we were delighted that some of the highest scoring areas in our B Impact Assessment relate to our employees and to our customers. Some examples include:
- Making sure that our onboarding and performance management processes are focused on helping our people bring their most authentic selves from day one and that they can keep on doing this throughout their time at Strengthscope.
- Providing enhanced sick leave, parental leave, long-term leave and paid days off as well as full flexible working for our team.
- Demonstrating commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion through our recruitment and people management processes, including pay equity analysis, ‘blind’ reviews of CVs and hiring managers from underrepresented populations.
- Keeping our customers central to all that we do: gathering customer feedback and acting on it; ensuring the highest standards of information security for our customers; and measuring the impact of our products for our customers to help them realise the full benefit.
But we know that there is more to do. Much more. And so we are now executing our plan to take Strengthscope to the next level as regards our positive business impact.
Particular areas for focus include creating greater positive impact in the community and engaging more actively in environmental sustainability.
Strengthscope is proud to now be a part of the B Corp global community. We are committed to keep developing better practice so that we can do more good in the world. And we will support the B Corp community gain greater visibility, influence and prominence in the world.
